National Law University Delhi has opened AILET 2027 registration for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. admission. AILET is separate from CLAT.

Latest verified status: Registration opened on 7 August 2026 and is scheduled to close on 10 November 2026. AILET 2027 is scheduled for 13 December 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

What this exam or admission route is

AILET is the All India Law Entrance Test of NLU Delhi. Indian and eligible foreign/OCI/PIO applicants should select the correct programme and applicant category because admission rules and seat categories differ.

Who can apply

Applicants should check the official programme page for qualifying-examination marks, category relaxation and document rules. Candidates awaiting the qualifying result may apply subject to producing proof by the university’s deadline.

  • B.A. LL.B.: 150 MCQs in 120 minutes
  • English Language: 50 questions; Current Affairs and General Knowledge: 30; Logical Reasoning: 70
  • LL.M.: 100 law-based MCQs in 120 minutes

  1. Register on the official AILET 2027 portal
  2. Choose B.A. LL.B. or LL.M. and the correct applicant category
  3. Upload documents and pay the programme-specific fee

Preparation and planning

For UG, combine daily reading with current affairs notes and intensive logical-reasoning practice. LL.M. candidates should revise core branches of law and practise passage-based application of legal principles.

  • Class 10 certificate for name and date of birth
  • Qualifying-examination marksheets and certificate
  • Recent photograph, signature and valid photo ID
  • Category, EWS, PwD, domicile or experience certificate, where applicable
