UPTAC 2027: What Replaced UPSEE and How Uttar Pradesh Technical Admissions Work
The old UPSEE/UPTU SEE article is no longer current. Uttar Pradesh technical admissions now run through UPTAC counselling using the qualifying examinations specified for each course.
What this exam or admission route is
UPTAC is a counselling system rather than one universal entrance paper. Depending on the programme, admission may use JEE Main, CUET UG/PG or another notified score. Applicants must read the course-specific brochure.
Who can apply
Eligibility differs for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, lateral-entry and integrated programmes. Domicile/category benefits, qualifying subjects and minimum marks must be verified from the 2027 brochure.
Exam or selection structure
- No single UPSEE paper should be assumed
- Register for the relevant national/state test first
- UPTAC stages normally include registration, document upload, choice filling, allotment, fee payment and reporting
How to apply
- Confirm the accepted test for the desired course
- Register on the official UPTAC portal when it opens
- Upload domicile/category/academic documents where applicable
- Fill many realistic choices in genuine preference order and lock them before the deadline
Preparation and planning
Prepare for the underlying qualifying exam—such as JEE Main or CUET—rather than searching for an obsolete UPSEE syllabus. Study previous UPTAC opening and closing ranks only as a guide, not a guarantee.
Documents to keep ready
- Class 10 certificate for name and date of birth
- Qualifying-examination marksheets and certificate
- Recent photograph, signature and valid photo ID
- Category, EWS, PwD, domicile or experience certificate, where applicable
- Application confirmation, fee receipt, admit card and scorecard
