AIIMS no longer conducts a separate MBBS entrance examination. Admission to AIIMS undergraduate medical seats is through NEET UG rank and central counselling.
What this exam or admission route is
NEET UG is the common national entrance test for undergraduate medical education. AIIMS seat allotment is handled through the Medical Counselling Committee route notified for the relevant year.
Who can apply
The NTA bulletin governs age, Class 12 subjects, qualifying status, nationality and attempt conditions. AIIMS aspirants must also satisfy counselling and institutional document requirements.
Exam or selection structure
- Single NEET UG paper under the pattern notified by NTA
- Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology-based assessment
- Separate MCC registration is required after the result for AIIMS counselling

- Apply only on the NTA NEET portal
- Download the confirmation page, city intimation and admit card from official services
- After result, register on MCC for the appropriate counselling rounds
- Fill AIIMS choices carefully and complete allotted-institute reporting
Preparation and planning
Use the current NEET syllabus, NCERT texts and timed full papers. Avoid fake notices and social-media date claims; NTA’s bulletin and notices are controlling.

- Class 10 certificate for name and date of birth
- Qualifying-examination marksheets and certificate
- Recent photograph, signature and valid photo ID
- Category, EWS, PwD, domicile or experience certificate, where applicable
