IIST does not use the old standalone IIST admission test described in the 2010 post. Undergraduate admission is based on JEE Advanced marks followed by a separate IIST registration and rank/allotment process.

Students must first satisfy JEE Advanced requirements and then apply separately to IIST. IIST publishes its own eligibility, branch choices, category rules, rank list and seat-allotment schedule.
Who can apply
Check the IIST brochure for citizenship, date of birth, Class 12 performance, JEE Advanced subject-wise/aggregate requirements and category certificates. JEE qualification alone does not guarantee IIST eligibility.
