BITSAT is the computer-based admission test used for first-degree programmes at BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The 2027 notification was not available when this article was checked, so candidates should use the 2026 rules only as a planning reference.
What this exam or admission route is
BITSAT is used primarily for admission to B.E., integrated M.Sc. and B.Pharm programmes at the Indian campuses of BITS Pilani. Some collaborative international programmes also use the score. Board toppers and eligible international applicants may have separate admission routes.
Who can apply
For the 2026 cycle, BITS required at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, with at least 60% in each of those subjects. Only current-year Class 12 candidates and those who passed in the immediately preceding year were eligible. PCB candidates had a restricted programme choice. The 2027 brochure must be checked because year-of-passing and programme rules change with each cycle.

- Register only through the BITS admission website
- Enter Class 12 subjects and personal details exactly as shown on certificates

- After the score is available, complete the separate programme-preference/admission form
Preparation and planning
Revise NCERT-level Physics and Chemistry, build speed in Mathematics or Biology, and practise English and logical reasoning. Full-length computer-based mocks are important because BITSAT rewards both accuracy and pace.

- Class 10 certificate for name and date of birth
- Qualifying-examination marksheets and certificate
- Recent photograph, signature and valid photo ID
- Category, EWS, PwD, domicile or experience certificate, where applicable
- Application confirmation, fee receipt, admit card and scorecard
